GuavaTech Locates in New CME Group Facility

Managed services provider will offer proximity hosting and ultra low latency connectivity at Aurora, Illinois data centre.

GuavaTech specializes in managed IT services for a range of financial clients, including hedge funds, brokers and proprietary trading firms. According to the company, it offers low latency connectivity to more than 75, ECNs, banks, liquidity pools and international exchanges. GuavaTech’s presence at CME Group’s new facility will help it extend its global footprint, which already includes links to major equity, options, foreign exchange and futures markets in Europe and the US, along with a number of OTC marketplaces.

Commenting on the announcement, GuavaTech senior vice president Michael Pappas said: “The addition of the CME Group’s new data centre in conjunction with our ultra-low latency connectivity offerings allow us to continue to deliver on our commitment to providing the competitive advantage our clients demand. When microseconds can mean the difference between winning and losing, our clients, ranging from small proprietary trading shops to large multinational banking institutions, understand the immediate value this new proximity hosting venue can bring to their firm.“

CME Group’s Aurora facility begins trading operations on 29 January 2012. Analytics and order execution provider CQG also recently announced that it would be co-locating its exchange gateway servers at the new data centre.
